IIE Membership 

Interested in joining IIE?  Joining our organization has neer been easier. Membership to our organization is open to all students and faculty.  Although our organization promotes the field of industrial engineering, we encourage students of all disciplines to join our organization. All you have to do is click on the appropriate link below which defines your current role and sign up through the national IIE website.  The best part is that they accept all major credit cards.  And for your convenience, you may come to any of our general meetings and we will be more than happy to help you sign up.

Professional Members (annual dues-$125 plus one-time application fee of $15 ) are entitled to vote in Institute elections and may hold all IIE offices except the Board of Trustees. Join as a professional member.

Senior Members (annual dues-$125) are entitled to vote in Institute elections and may hold an IIE office. The requirements for senior member status vary according to one’s educational degrees and years in the profession.

Retired Members (annual dues-$62.50) status is awarded upon application once a member has reached 60 years of age, has paid dues for 25 consecutive years, and is fully retired from work. Life Members (annual dues-$62.50) status is awarded upon application if a member’s age and continuous years of membership for which dues were paid equal 100. Contact IIE at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it to see if you are eligible.

Student Members (annual dues-$30) are entitled to vote within chapters, societies, divisions, and interest groups and may hold any chapter, society, division, and interest group office, except the most senior office of that group. Join as student member.

First-Year Graduating Members (annual dues-$62.50) Student members become eligible for a graduated dues increase the first year following graduation. Membership dues are $62.50 for the first year after graduation and $125, full member dues, thereafter.

International Members (annual dues-$125 plus one-time application fee of $15 ) International rates are available for new and renewing members who reside in a country other than the United States and its territories. This package includes an IIE membership card, a membership certificate, online access to Industrial Engineer magazine, 12 mailed issues of Industrial Engineer magazine (does not include airmail), access to members-only section of IIE Web resources, member discounts on all IIE products (including periodicals, books, conference seminars), and 12 issues of IIE eBrief (electronic newsletter).

What are the benefits of becomings a member?

At the very least, you meet new people and learn about new ideas and exciting opportunities in the field of industrial engineering.  Your membership dues enable you to run for office at the local chapter level and grant you access to some of the most cutting-edge research.  In addition to all the academic benefits, your membership allows you to network with other professional IIE members and expand your career opportunities.
