IIE Regional VP Helmut Welke

Helmet Weike: Manager, Industrial Engineering; John Deere Parts Division.

Mr. Weike holds BSIE and MSIE degrees from the University of Illinois-Urbana. He is a Certified Engineering Manager since 2004. He has worked for John Deere for 31 years in a variety of assignments, including Production Engineering Manager; Combine Design for manufacturability coordinator, factory restructuring manager, and Industrial Engineer. An active member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers since his college days, Mr. Weike now serves on the IIE board of trustees. He is a past director of the IIE technical operations board, a regional vice president; and also chapter president.

IIE is very grateful to Helmut for his generous contribution of time and pizza to our chapter. His presentation was very informative and applicable to all ISYE students.
